Sohin Raithatha Finishes His 42 Mile Himalayan Hike for Charity
After 5 days, Redsquid COO Sohin Raithatha has successfully completed his 42 mile hike along the foothills of the Himalayas, to raise money for the YMCA’s Watford Orbital Community centre.
The journey has taken Sohin through the highest mountain range in the world, and inspired many to give to his chosen cause. Sohin has already raised almost £3000 in aid of Redsquid’s local YMCA community centre: funds that promise to refurbish the building and update its facilities.
The YMCA Orbital centre in Watford serves the essential purpose of providing somewhere safe for the local youth to socialise, learn, and grow as confident people. Redsquid have already met some of the young adults and children that rely on the centre, and have seen how much potential they all have. It takes a charity like the YMCA, and a community like the west Watford centre, to help these young people realise that potential.
When we finally welcome Sohin back from his Himalayan adventure, we’ll be ensuring that every penny of the money he has raised goes into the community centre, and benefits those young people that use it. Redsquid is committed to helping support our local community, and Sohin’s sponsored hike is just the beginning.
We’ll be speaking to Sohin about his experiences in India next week, but in the meantime, there’s still time to donate to his JustGiving page, if you’re as passionate as we are about his cause.
Well Done to Sohin from everyone at Redsquid, we’re all very proud of what you’ve achieved.
